I met a woman at my son’s swim class today. Her husband broke his little finger a few days ago and is awaiting surgery to pin it.
Every part of her life has been affected by his injury. He can’t drive, tie his laces, or dress himself easily without help so now all the things he used to do are falling to her to do as well.
A little finger.
That’s all it took to turn life upside down.
Again it reminded me of how much of a privilege mundane life is. Every day that it ticks over without incident is a day we win more than we know.
So today I’m going to take my win and bank it.
(Short post today so I can take the kids trick or treating 😁)
